Happy Loy Krathong Day!

Today, students at Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University Demonstration School participated in the "Continuing the Loy Krathong Tradition" activity to learn about and preserve the beautiful, long-standing Thai culture.

The Loy Krathong tradition is held annually on the full moon night of the 12th lunar month, when the moon is full and rivers and canals are full. Thais traditionally float krathongs to express gratitude to the Goddess of Water, the Mother of Life, and to ask forgiveness for the years of relying on water for their survival.

Associate Professor Dr. Sumalee Thienthongdee, Director of the Demonstration School, along with the school's executives, visited the students in their krathong-making workshop. They learned how to make krathongs from natural materials such as banana leaves, banana stems, and flowers. This activity instilled environmental awareness and encouraged them to participate in a creative and safe krathong floating ceremony in a warm, fun, and smile-filled atmosphere.

May all the wishes the students and everyone else made float away with their beautiful krathongs and may all their wishes come true.
